Open Shipping Days
13 - 15 March 2025
14:00 - 20:00
WAAGNATIE HAL1 + HAL2
What started as a kind of fair on the island in Antwerp has now grown into a fully-fledged event. During the Open Shipping Days (an initiative of the Rhine and Inland Navigation Museum), everyone from the inland shipping sector can find information on maintenance, technology, ship repair, new construction, interior design, new regulations, training, employment, and much more. It's a unique opportunity to network and make new contacts.
The Open Shipping Days take place at Waagnatie, one of the iconic old harbor depots located next to the Scheldt, just 700 meters from the old city center and centrally situated in the trendy neighborhood of ‘Het Eilandje’. This building is an integral part of the rich maritime history of this old port area and is therefore the unique location for the Open Shipping Days.
This year, for the first time in history, there will be a change in the event days. The fair will be held from Thursday, March 13, to Saturday, March 15. Previously, it took place from Friday to Sunday. This change addresses the previously expressed desire to limit the weekend days, particularly for the staffing of exhibitors and visitors, while giving business visitors more space outside the weekend. Holding Thursday and Friday, followed by one Saturday as a family day, meets this request. So mark your calendars for the Open Shipping Days 2025:
March 13, 14, and 15, from 14:00 to 20:00 each day.
